The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Thursday's Best NCAAB Bet

Arizona Wildcats at Stanford Cardinal (+4)

Wildcats coach Sean Miller is already worried about facing the Cardinal defense again.

“They’re very good on defense,” Miller, whose team repeatedly worked on attacking various Cardinal looks this week at practice, said. “They’re a hard team to score against. In some of their tough losses it isn’t a function of their defense. They have huge bodies they can throw at you on the front line on defense. We have to execute against Stanford.”

But the Wildcats already executed against the vaunted Cardinal defense. Despite Stanford leading the Pac-10 in points allowed per game – 60.6 – the Wildcats managed to post a 67-57 win against the Cardinal early last month. In the win, Arizona buried 49 percent of its shots, made 10-of-17 three-pointers and dominated the glass to a tune of 40-23. In fact, if the Wildcats hadn’t had so many turnovers (15) or missed so many free throws (10), the margin of victory may have been greater.

And the Wildcat’s aren’t intimidated about getting involved in a defensive fight. Arizona is 3-2 SU in games where it has scored fewer than 70 points. The Wildcats are also finding more scoring depth. Future NBA lottery pick Derrick Williams is playing up to his lofty standards, but now point guard MoMo Jones is starting to turn it on. The sophomore scored 17 points in each win over UCLA and USC last week.

Meantime, the Cardinal is a mere 1-4 SU and ATS in its past five outings, three of which came at home.

Pick: Arizona

Thursday's Best NBA Bet

Milwaukee Bucks at Golden State Warriors

The Bucks may need to start keeping an entire hospital staff on retainer. Center Andrew Bogut has been bothered by a knee injury, guard John Salmons has a hurting hip and now forward Drew Gooden will be sidelined up to six weeks with a foot injury.

Milwaukee also must continue to monitor the minutes of star guard Brandon Jennings, who just returned late last week from a broken left foot that sidelined him for 19 games as he is on a 24-minute limit.

"We've got a long way to go," Bucks coach Scott Skiles said. "First of all, we've got to get healthy. But we've got to play much better than we've played so far. We're having too many breakdowns on both ends of the floor."

And with the team playing on Wednesday night in Phoenix against the Suns – another team that will try to push the tempo and run against Milwaukee – the team figures to be running on fumes by the end against Golden State.

The Warriors are continuing their up-tempo play, but have added a dash of scoring depth. Guards Steph Curry and Monta Ellis and forward David Lee each have led the team in scoring at least once the past five games. And now recently healed center Andris Biedrins has notched double-doubles in each of the past two games and is averaging 10.5 points and 11 rebounds over that span.

Pick: Golden State

Thursday's Best NHL Bets

Calgary Flames at Atlanta Thrashers (-120, 5.5)

Excuse the joke, but the Flames are hot. Calgary has won five straight and seven of its past 10 games thanks to a balanced scoring attack.

The team has been paced offensively during its winning streak by a reinvigorated Jarome Iginla (three goals, two assists), Alex Tanguay (one goal, four assists) and Brendan Morrison (three goals, three assists). Overall, the team is averaging 4.2 goals per game during its tear – way up from the 2.7 per game the squad averages for the season.

And the success is much more than just a lucky hot streak on the power play. Over the past 10 games, Calgary has done the majority of its scoring 5-on-5, notching just three goals on the man advantage over that span.

"They've been consistent efforts," Flames defenseman Cory Sarich said. "That's the biggest thing. Giving ourselves a chance and not beating ourselves. We're staying in games. We've limited our mistakes from the start of the year, and that's been huge for our success."

On the other bench, the Thrashers couldn’t be much colder. Atlanta has dropped four of its past five and eight of its last 10 overall. The problem for Atlanta, is that the team simply can’t keep the puck out of its net. Over its past 10 games, the team is allowing an average of 4.4 goals per game – and that includes a 1-0 win over the Capitals.

“It comes down to our willingness to battle,” Atlanta coach Craig Ramsey said. “We just don’t follow through with details. Our work ethic, our commitment is lacking.”

Pick: Calgary

Dallas Stars at Boston Bruins (-140, 5.5)

The Stars and Bruins have something big in common: neither likes giving up goals.

Dallas has made itself a threat in the Western Conference by yielding just 2.7 goals per game as the under has gone 27-24 in its 51 games this season. The team has been bolstered by the solid play of goaltenders Kari Lehtonen (.915 save percentage) and often-used backup Andrew Raycroft (.920).

“We know we have to keep our focus on improving – whether it’s improving faceoffs, or special teams, or our coverage, there are so many little areas that we can try to get better at,” Dallas coach Marc Crawford said. “The race is too tight - I think that has helped us to stay focused.”

Meantime, focus on the defensive end is something that hasn’t been a problem for Boston this year. The Bruins have the top defense in the league, giving up just 2.1 goals per game and have seen the under go 28-16-7 this season. Overall, the team has seen the under hit in its past three games.

“This second half, as they call it, is more about being ready to play every night,” Boston coach Claude Julien. “There are teams that are pushing to make the playoffs, or battling to stay in the playoffs. We’re no different. If we want to be where we want to be, we have to be one of those teams that pushes.”

Bettors' Best Friend (BBF): Thursday's Wagering Tips

Injury That Shouldn’t Be Overlooked

Brandon Bass, Orlando Magic: Bass suffered a left ankle injury in the club’s 100-97 loss to Memphis as a 1.5 favorite and while the team is unsure of the extent of the injury, he certainly won’t be ready to play Thursday against Miami. “I don’t know how bad it is,” Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy told reporters after Wednesday’s practice. “But, obviously, we’re hoping it won’t be too long. We’re not loaded with a number of big guys, so that would be a tough loss.” Bass is averaging 11.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.

Key Trends

NBA: The over is 9-3 in Miami’s last 12 games while Orland has played over the total in five of its last six contests.

NBA: San Antonio is riding a 7-3-1 run against the spread while the Los Angeles Lakers have dropped seven of their last 10 games against the number.

NBA: The over has cashed in on 16 of Golden State’s last 21 games overall and 12 of the team’s last 13 home dates. Milwaukee has also played over in three of its last four contests.

NCAAB: Notre Dame has covered in 13 of its last 17 games against Big East foes heading into Thursday’s game against the struggling DePaul Blue Demons.

NCAAB: Arizona has won six of its last seven games and is beginning to help out its supporters lately, covering in the club’s latest wins against Washington State, UCLA and USC.

NHL: New Jersey has won just eight of its last 28 meetings with the New York Rangers including each of the last four matchups between the two teams.

NHL: The under is 20-7-4 in the last 31 meetings between the Minnesota Wild and the Colorado Avalanche.

Number To Remember

7 – The number of shots Golden State’s Monta Ellis has hit over the last two games. He attempted 33 shots, scoring just 23 points over those two contests. Ellis ranks sixth in the NBA averaging 25.1 points per game and the team says it isn’t concerned about the slump considering his good work at the defensive end of the floor. The Warriors have dropped four straight games against the Milwaukee Bucks heading into Thursday’s matchup.

Tips And Notes

There’s no secret to Ohio State’s 22-game winning streak and No. 1 ranking – balance. The Buckeyes have four players averaging at least 10 points per game and have allowed just one team to crack 70 points all season (Florida on Oct. 16). Freshman Aaron Craft is making a big impression on defense, shutting down Penn State’s Taylor Battle and Illinois’ Demetri McCamey recently while leading the team with 1.7 steals and 4.8 assists in about 28 minutes per game.

Rumors persist that Ron Artest may be on his way out of Los Angeles. He has struggled offensively all season, which is something the team could deal with if his defense was up to snuff. But he has suffered serious lapses on defense as well lately and an ESPN report said that he wouldn’t be opposed to a trade. Artest shot down that speculation later on Wednesday but played just 5.5 seconds in the fourth quarter on Tuesday and is averaging a career-low 8.1 points per game.

The Miami Heat have come a long way since getting off to a tough start this season, but the team says it has a long way to go yet. "You talk about Boston, you talk about Orlando or the Lakers, we're never going to catch those guys in experience," Dwyane Wade told reporters Wednesday. "I think the stat is, Boston is 30-15 in the playoffs since they've been together. We're 0-0." Miami has won three straight games heading into Thursday’s date with the Magic, but are only 3-5-1 against the number in their last eight.
